Dress Eye Candy: Jefferson Street Mansion

Jefferson Street Mansion - bridal room

That dress! That room!

I’m a’wash in wedding post production! So much fun – I swear, each wedding, each image I open is like my birthday. Yes!

The one I’m working on now is for my couple Amanda & Chris, who live 3000 miles away. Her mom is a longtime Benicia resident (Benicia is located in the North Bay, north of Berkeley) remembered watching as the Jefferson Street Mansion was restored to full glory.  It’s grand in a quirky sort of way, with little bits of laugh like full oil paintings of dog generals, sets of china adorned with fish, sculptures of monkeys in clown costumes, and Scarlett O’Hara draperies everywhere, with tassels as big as my camera.  I fell in love with it pretty darn quick!

The bridal room, however, was the most Scarlett with the least amount of quirk.  Jutting out from a corner is an elaborate carved four poster bed with lush draperies in all kinds of fabrics.  It was a tactile person’s dream.

Here’s a bit of a peek!

As promised! :D
Here’s Kat & Scott’s romantic candlelit ceremony – in an earlier post, I remembered I hadn’t made a slideshow for them because it was so close to my Christmas break.
I’m trying a new slideshow creator, not sure if I like it as much as my trusty one I’ve been using for a few years now. What do y’all think?

My brides are in Brides!

Just found out that this issue of Brides Northern California, both online and on paper, is my new BFF. Can you have a paper BFF?!

First, my couple Jessica & Kevin were featured in a shot of one of my fave places to have an engagement session, downtown San Jose:

Then, my gorgeous butterfly bride Tiffany became a fashion icon with the feature in Aisle Say, a very cool blog with little tips and finds that I think should be on every bride’s RFF. Hey, that’s it! A BFF RFF! Oh, be careful, my geek is showing. :/

You might remember Tiffany from this shot from her wedding to Javier in Nestldown:
