Post production on a wedding is like opening presents for Christmas. I get so excited to see everything! For Ligaya & Paulo, it was even more exciting. I had met her brother first, then again at her college roommate’s wedding, and was honored that she signed with me two years before the big date. Hee!
A few favorites…okay, a heck of a lot of favorites! Bring ‘em! So first comes the two e-session shots…

Ligaya & Paulo engagement session

Another favorite from Ligaya & Paulo's engagement session
And now the wedding day! She got ready at her childhood home (which is gorgeous), with her ladies, mom & aunties, and dad.

Getting ready - where to put the gardenia?

Should it go here?

Now that's a window we can play with! I love how the light just wrapped around Ligaya.

Lovely Gaya So with Casa Real, you don't need to hire a planner of your own - take advantage of Shannon or Alyssia. But if you have a bigger wedding, or really don't want to have to worry on your day, then GET A PLANNER. To me the planner is pretty much guaranteeing yourself a great time with no stress and everything set up the way you want it. Meet Samar, she was the coordinator that day with Ribbon & Tie. LOVE her!
I know Shannon at Casa Real did, too! ::grin::

And it's off to the church we go!

Look who's waiting for Gaya at the church? Handsome Paulo!

no I won't drop the coins, really...

Here comes the bride...Gaya mentioned that the moment when she saw Paulo was everything to her.
The church was the amazing Old Mission San Jose in Fremont. It’s one of my favorite churches. I love the juxtaposition of the weathered plank ceiling and the highly ornate altar.

Married and ready to celebrate!
From the church, the bridal party piled into the Hummer limo and off we all went to Pleasanton. Casa Real is one of my top five places in the area to get married. The staff is incredible, the light is lovely, there are gorgeous backdrops everywhere, the rooms are to faint for, and there’s tons of room. And can we talk about the incredible food?! Although one of my favorite DJs, Kevin with Fantasy Sound, insists the kids chicken tenders meal is where it’s at, Alyssia, Andrew and Shannon tend to give us a little sampler of what everyone else is having. Very smart cuz there’s nothing like yummy food to make me shout about it – and them! YUM!

A quick kiss on the way to the cocktail hour at Casa Real

The doors of Casa Real - a great backdrop for Paulo!

Paulo & Ligaya set up a few of Paulo's paintings around the Amber Room for display during the cocktail hour
Speaking of Fantasy Sound, their name’s kind of a misnomer. They did all the tree leaf gobos and scroll gobos and pinlights and uplights all around the Amber Room during cocktails and the Great Hall during dinner. Wait until you see the cake…

Look what was waiting for everyone in Casa Real's Great Hall!
Side note: don’t forget about lighting. I’m not kidding. It makes a room just come alive both to your guests and for your videographers and photographers. See the uplights in the back? Now see what it does for the cake…

My favorite cake topper and some gorgeous lighting

The Amber Room

Here come the Mr. and Mrs!

Their initials on the dance floor. Love that...

Toasting, or roasting?!

romantic first dance, romantic music, romantic lighting...

Paulo sings to his bride - and gets some help from his guys! Oh, and that's his DAD on guitar!

Everyone went crazy for Paulo's "music video"...

Ut oh, kids, cover yer eyes!

Ut oh, kids, cover yer eyes!

This should help pay for drinks during the honeymoon.More cake please!
