I’m a’wash in wedding post production! So much fun – I swear, each wedding, each image I open is like my birthday. Yes!
The one I’m working on now is for my couple Amanda & Chris, who live 3000 miles away. Her mom is a longtime Benicia resident (Benicia is located in the North Bay, north of Berkeley) remembered watching as the Jefferson Street Mansion was restored to full glory. It’s grand in a quirky sort of way, with little bits of laugh like full oil paintings of dog generals, sets of china adorned with fish, sculptures of monkeys in clown costumes, and Scarlett O’Hara draperies everywhere, with tassels as big as my camera. I fell in love with it pretty darn quick!
The bridal room, however, was the most Scarlett with the least amount of quirk. Jutting out from a corner is an elaborate carved four poster bed with lush draperies in all kinds of fabrics. It was a tactile person’s dream.
Here’s a bit of a peek!
